  1. the only bibs i would not recommend would be the bibs that tied i could never get my kids to hold still long enough to tie it right so it would always rid down and they wold get food on there clothes

  2. Velcro fasteners are the best as they are quick and easy. I would avoid bibs that need to be tied as bubs often won't stay still and they can be done too tight. If bub is a bit older (toddler) then a plastic bib with a catcher at the bottom is fantastic. Cloth bibs should be thick and preferably plastic backed so nothing gets through them onto clothes

  3. Hey, I found some features that you may be interested in.

    • suitable for the baby's age (i.e big enough to cover all the chest, a big baby needs big bibs)

    • easy to wipe off with a wet sponge or water (should have a plastic/vinyl backing)

    • indestructible (i.e not easy to be torn by your baby)

    • child-safe tie length, no hanging threads or has a snap or a velcro

    • machine washable

    • colorful (in case to make your baby concentrate)

Beware of some bibs that don't have high levels of lead safety.

  4. Make sure you have bibs that have plastic backing... I've even found some that have plastic in between two pieces of cloth...Walmart has some bibs that are plain cloth but they're very thick...When the baby starts to slob you don't want his/her chest to be wet...The ones that pull over the head can be difficult at times...The ones that velcro on the side instead of the back are great too...

  5. avoid the tiny ones you have to tie one those are a pain in the butt and are too small!

  6. Definitely either the thick quilted kind, or even better is the plastic backed kinds, so the bib doesn't soak through and all over baby!

  7. I very much agree with Melissa...the bibs that tie on never stay on!!!

Walmart sells some that pull over the head...big too, they cover a lot of the chest. They're a bit expensive though so if not those, I would go for ones that snap, they stay on better than velcro.

    Good luck!

  8. When buying a bib, ask yourself these questions...

Is there a plastic back or is the bib plastic?

Is there a tray at the bottom to catch food?

    Is it big?

Does it have snaps or velcro to keep it on?

If you answered YES to 3 or more of those questions, the bib is probably a good one. Make sure it doesn't look like it will crack or anything.
