Please suggest travel options from Trichy to Swamimalai?

We are planning to travel from Bangalore to Swamimalai.We will take a flight to Trichy but need road/rail travel options from there to Swamilmalai.

Tiruchi to Swamimalai

Lots of buses are available from Tiruchi bus stand to Kumbakonam. Swamimalai comes before kumbakonam when you travel to Kumbakonam from tiruchi. Also you can change the bus at tanjavur. Every second a bus will depart from tiruchi to tanjavur. From tanjavur you will get kumbakonam buses at every 10 minutes.

There are lot of kumbakonam town buses and taxis which should not cost you more than 200 INR to swamimalai.

If you are comfortable with bus, then right from volvo buses to normal buses are available from bangalore to kumbakonam.All will go via tiruchi.
