  1. pray to allah to help you stay away form it. its about your determination and will and your intention, just remember your doing it for allah. inshallah

  2. Just stop playing the music then.

    That's not so hard to do now, is it?

  3. The Music of a believer is the recitation of  Holy Quran. Listen to it. When we forsake something that displeases Allah for His sake, He will make you love good things which has His pleasure upon.

  4. well , u dont believe everything u r told..

  5. Everything will be alright in shaa Allaah.

    Music is indeed haraam so to not listen to it, just find other things to listen to.  Try finding some Qur'aan to listen to, there's a lot of that on the internet.  There are good lectures at places like www.sunnahaudio.com and troid.org as well, in fact there's tons of free audio on the internet if you look for it.

  6. music is not haram

    who told u that?

  7. get a hammer and smash ur mp3

  8. I take you seriously.  Some people DO believe in this stuff.

    Don't have a panic attack!  you can try drowning it out by putting your hands over your ears and moving them in small circular directions.

    Don't worry, you WILL NOT go to h**l :)

  9. What is wrong with listen to music.It is worse to go killing infidels.

  10. well music is not haram

    it is perfectly okay as long as it doesn't take you away from Allah swt (prayers, fasting, reciting the qur'an)

    and it must be a nice song

    no curse in it

  11. If Allah didn't want us listening to music, then he would have said so himself in the Quran.

  12. From my understanding, music CANNOT be harram. Even before and after Islam, Muslims have a rich tradition in the musical arts as well as theater and acting. I don't know what source you are reading from but music is not harram.

  13. You can try listenin to nasheeds without music...good for motivation, remembrance of allah (swt) and keeps you occupied...helped me! =)

    Enjoy.

    Music is which involve musical instruments is haraam as the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said. One hadith from the Bukhari Shareef, the most authentic Book of Hadith, further confirms unlawfulness of music and singing :

    `There will be people of my Ummah who will seek to make lawful; fornication, wine-drinking and the use of ma`aazif ( musical instruments ).`

  14. Here is the clear proof that music is Haram in Islam.

    Islam is defined by the Qur'an and Sunnah as well as guidance from the noble scholars.

    Using the actions or "history" of some Muslims is not a valid source for Islam.

    So some Muslims may have a "history in musinc, theatre and arts etc."...

    But what about the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) and his sahabah (RA)? Did they have a rich history in music, theatre and arts etc?

  15. OK, calm down..

    First and foremost, u need to STOP listening to music..

    Delete all the music..

    It "stones" ur heart, music enjoins evil(these days, music always talks about s*x etc etc)..

    There is still nasheeds, u can hear nasheeds(with NO instruments, of course), it somewhat has the same feel towards "music"..

    Here's a link to some nasheeds of my fave http://nadeem.lightuponlight.com/indexis...

    Listen to Ahmad Buktahir's nasheeds, really beautiful..

    ~~~Trust me,I know it's hard to avoid, I've been there before, but u must be strong :) May Allah Guide you to the Straight Path..
    Spend your time also to study/read The Quran, to strengthen your Faith..
  16. well i listened to music 24/7 once upon a time.  when i quit, it was the will power that helped very much.  slowly reduced it, and trashed all cassettes and CDs, so even if I really loved a song I won't have easy access.  Just keep working on it, and you'd be okay inshallah.
    also on the other hand, try to learn the Qur'aan, tajweed, memorise it, learn Arabic, and gain knowledge of Islaam, this will help you do what is more productive and soon you'd love it more than music inshallah.  Also you can listen to lectures, when you don't want to listen to recitation, or listen to nasheeds without music: http://www.bukhatir.org/
    and sis be careful about that maula song someone posted, it is a very old famous poem filled with shirk!!  I will inshallah update my answer later today.  hafta go now inshallah.
    salaamun aleiki
    Go to: http://understand-islam.net/site/index.p...
    and then look under the heading of Muslim Life
    and you should find a pdf called "a look at nasheeds"
  17. Listen to NASHEEDS and NAATS instead.
    http://www.youtube.com
    go there and type in "OWAIS QADRI" and listen to some of his amazing naats. they're too good. a few suggestions = "Paak Galiyaan, Aqa Ka Milad, Mere Aqa AAye, Ya Sayyedi, Ya Mustafa & Sartaba Qadam"
    I used to listen to music all the time. a lot of hiphop. Ever since i started listening to NAATS, I dont find JOY in music anymore, strictly naat/nasheeds cuz they put you in Wajid and your love for Allah & our Nabi (SAW) increases 10-fold
  18. Spend your time listening to Qur'aan. There are many recitations that you can listen to which will benefit you.
    Make Du'aa to Allaah and be firm in your decision to stay away from music.
