What's the difference between shower,rain and drizzles ?

  1. drizzle is extremely light,shower is heavier and rain is a downpour


  2. shower is short burst of rain.

    rain is a good down poor 5 mins or more and drizzle is when the rain is so fine its like a mist

    anyway, showers when you get pretty much soaked

    rain is just your average amount of water falling down and getting you slightly damp

    but drizzle is just a fine mist of water which makes you very. very. cold.

Rain is actually a generic term which refers to any form of liquid precipitation, whether it is light or heavy.  Drizzle is usually very light rain, which can be continuous, but usually seems like scattered drops.  A shower is temporary - when it rains for a short time and then stops.  You could have light or heavy showers.
