Hm. I'm about to take this course, and I was wondering what kind of books you study in it, and if it's generally difficult? What do I have to do if I want to be good at it?

Thank you for your help! I really appreciate it.

  1. Ya its gonna suck. I'm taking it next year. I hear its pretty difficult.

  2. I took AP Lit as a senior in high school.  It definitely depends on your teacher for a lot of things in a class like that.  For me, it wasn't too difficult, but it wasn't very easy either.  The books that you study aren't standardized, but our class happened to study a Shakespeare play, John Steinbeck's East of Eden, two Chaim Potok books, a Moliere play, and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.  You need to read and stay on top of assignments if you want to be good at it, just like with any other class.

  3. the books you read depend on the teacher.

    usually, shakespeare is involved...

it's kind of difficult. but again, it depends.

You have to be able to analyze literature in a thought provoking way. you have to analyze (look at syntax, diction, point of view, etc) the work while you're reading it, and then be able to write about it.

    hope that helps.
