Nanotechnology involves the use of nano scale components, materials, and devices to solve our problems. Nano meter is one millionth of a millimeter. This dimension is similar to the dimensions of the atoms in materials. In this domain, materials develop unusual properties, and these properties can be gainfully employed. Nano materials can be used in electrical circuits, computer chips, storage devices, solar cells, and in medicine. Nano devices can be sent in to the human body to attack cancer cells, deliver medicines to particular locations and in many other applications. All of these and the many more being developed constitute nanotechnology.
