  1. No offense, but I probably cannot count the thousands of young people here, asking the same Q.

EP offers very good advice. LEARN about local community, or independent theaters, and their seasonal performance schedules, and plays, then call them asking about their open auditions, if they do that; then show up, for any appropriate parts, in any suitable play needing your gender, and age group.

If you get the opportunity and not a call back, do it again, and again. If you get a part, any part, accept it, make it the dream, make the audience believe you, and network, network, network.

You need not explain any credibility, or motives to us, but you should have them, as well as a deep passion for the craft.

    Just my 2 "scents"

  2. I joined a community theater group and learned quite a bit from having parts in local productions. While there, I had opportunity to talk to others to discover even more possibilities and techniques.

  3. You need to take acting classes first. Before a agent. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before an agent..

  4. You can't become an actress just for the fame and guys.. it's a lot of hard work and if you don't do anything you won't make it anywhere.. I started off doing plays at a local theater (i've been acting for about 5 years) So i did musicals, (i can sing and dance & taken lessons in both), dramas, i also did drama at school and in school plays, i also did chorus at school.. after i got professional training at John Casablanca were they taught me how to put together a resume i got head shots and they taught me how to go on an audition, and gave me acting tequenies, i also got into a few classes of modeling for free.. Next i got an agent.. i go on as many auditions that come my way i live in FL so it's kind of a challenge, but you also have to remember rejection is a huge part of acting.
