  1. DO NOT DELETE  THIS FILE. This is where Windows keeps a good 20,000 files inside it.

You should tell me what the message is and i will send you the solution.

If you want to play safe,  openyour internet browser and type "mbam.exe"

It will ask you to download and reply YES. it will remove the trojan, the spyware and any virus you have right now. Their is a bad virus going around and calls itself "Antivurus XP 2008".

This is a virus and if you get it, it will take a special procedure to remove it. You will know when you get a blue screen . Then you have that virus.

  2. STOP

i386 is part of Windows, dont delete it.

for antivirus, try Avira antivirus, its completely free and has excellent defence system. i was using AVG about 6 months ago and switch to avira and never got a virus since. scan that folder with avira, its really fast and effective

  3. Do you know what this file is for?  DON'T DELETE IT!

The i386 folder holds the files used to install, repair, modify, update and rebuild Windows. Though these files are also located on your Windows installation CD (if you have one), I recommend you not delete anything located here. Deleting these files won’t recover much room, and the convenience of having the files there save a lot of time for us techie-types. (The contents of the i386 folder can commonly be found in the folder at C:\Windows\Options\Cabs. This Windows "cabs" folder is essentially the same as the i386 folder.)

  4. You didn't specify the location of the folder. I think it is in the Windows\Service Pack Files directory and might weigh about 300-500MBs. If so, do not delete them. These are important windows files. It is normal to have this folder and so many files inside it when you install a windows service pack.
