Please tell me if my Salvia plant is the mother?

I got this from a yardsale they had owned a vintage clothing store and what looked to be a headshop but it was in there garage as soon as i walked in there i smelt the inscents and it reminded me of her . so i asked U got any salvia and the lady replied I got this one but i hate to get rid of it,when i seen it i really didn't believe but for 2 dollars i jus took the risk.so can anyone tell me how to tell the difference

I think what youre asking, is if the plant is a male or female.    I dont have time to look up what it looks like on salvia, but the defining characteristics will be part of the flower, or inflorescence.  It's different on different types of plants.

It shouldn't matter if it's the mother or not. It'll still work. $2 is a normal price to pay since it is not illegal to buy salvia, (I'm assuming it's salvia dictorum). Anyway. just chew or smoke and enjoy the answers it gives you.

Any plant can be made into a mother by taking cuttings...
