  1. you should have her give some more info on the dog, and info on her. let her give you someone she knows' email address, so you can ask some questions about her, and make sure it isn't a scam. and the whole shipping idea isn't really good... for you or the dog.

  2. More then likley. Having a dog shiped is very dangerous. The animals are treated badly and arrive emotionally and physical traumatized. If you want a mutt go to your local shelter. They have mutts of all varieties. NEVER buy a dog off the internet. You should always meet the dog before commiting and meet the previous owners.

  3. I dunno, sounds fishy. The whole "shipping out" thing. Though it is possible, just sounds flimsy.

  4. Craigs List is supposed to be a local thing.  I buy on there all the time and I never have to travel longer than an hour.  Just go look at the dog.  If it's far away then find one closer.

  5. http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams.ht...

  6. DONT.

this is how you get scammed. you dont know the lady personally then do not give her your address.

if you REALLY want it go and meet her and the dog, if she says no its a scam .

did she give you pics and info on the dog?

i wouldnt trust it theres many of mutts like them in shelters and breeders of shih tzus and maltesses =]

dont trust them, i almost got scammed of buying cutie rat terrier off this lady but she was a fake and so was the dog,

    be careful!

add: craigslist sells old cars and junk.. do you REALLY think healthy puppies are there?

its like buying a dog at the junk yard or the salvation army

  7. it is hard to tell. especially with the limited amount of info she posted. i wouldnt trust a stranger over the internet, but its up to you. i also wouldnt buy a dog without meeting it, or at the very least seeing a picture of it. it could very well be a scam.

  8. Dogs cannot be shipped to your address like a piece of mail.

If you cant go and pick up the dog locally, then dont bother with it, as its most likely a scam.

  9. i wouldnt do it it sounds like a scam and the dog could have serious problems and maybe even from a puppy mill

  10. Skip it, find a dog locally and get it from a place you can trust.  Like a rescue.

  11. Does she want money? Where is she from?

Shipping is usually best left to experienced breeders that know what they're doing, honestly.

    Try the local pound instead.

  12. if u really want the dog go visit her where she's at....please don't have it shipped

  13. well first i would (if she dosnt live across the world) ask her if you can meet her some ware and excage the dog and money there. if that doesnt work then make sure you get a documet like e-maling her confuring that she will not use this adress for anything other that shipping the dog also that when you send the money that she will send the dog with in X number of days of the sent money this way that if she doesnt send you the dog you can take it to court also ask her for her information so you can send the money if it comes down to it the police can track her adress from the IP adress on her e-mail

  14. totally agree with 'jen'

  15. Ask if you could meet her somewhere. Even if she's not close to you, that should give you an idea.
