  1. Going to areas that are not hot travel spots will ensure much better deals.  For example, I lived in Sale across the river from Rabat.  I could get things MUCH cheaper in Sale than in Rabat because tourists favored Rabat more.  Also, prices on simple things like bottled water are 20-30 dirhams more in Agadir than in Sale.  You can save on lodging by not staying right in the area you wish to visit.  Staying in the outskirts of Rabat, Agadir or Marrakesh will be much cheaper than staying right in the heart of the city where all the action is.  You can also save on traveling around town by walking to as many places as possible instead of traveling by petit taxi.  Also, be prepared to negotiate pricing.  It's the best way to get a fair price and truly is expected by merchants.

  2. the end of summer is going to be Ramadan, you are not going to find restaurants open during the day, except mc donald's and restaurants in hotels. if you want baragins then you should bargain, never buy from gift shops at hotels, even in popular markets in marrakech and agadir you Have to bargain bargain bargain because they usually multiply the price by three or double it.

be careful from thieves, they are everywhere, i mean everywhere in the world. just don't carry a lot of cash and your passport in your purse, put them in zipped pockets.

  3. Buy everything form the market if you want to save money and make sure you haggle!
