  1. It could mean the same thing.  You also have the American English, whom are descendents of England.

  2. BRITISH is their nationality while ENGLISH is the language they speak :)

  3. British is the name describing the people born in the United Kingdom or Great Britain, what ever you want to call it. English is the name of the people born in England. It is better to be called English than British as this means that you are better than most other nations lol

  4. Great Britain is a group of countries - England, Scotland, Wales.

A British person is one who holds a British passport.  So an American who moved to England and got dual nationality can be British.  You can also be British by heritage.

England does not issue passports.  An English person is one with heritage of English parents.  An English person is also British by heritage (but can give up the British passport if emigrating).

All English people are also British (England is part of Britain)

Not all British people are English....they can be Welsh, Scottish, or other heritage.

  5. a british person comes from / lives in england, wales, scotland, or northern irelend.

an english person comes from england. England is IN britain, as is wales scotland and northern ireland. these places are not IN england. they are in britain.

  6. An Englishman comes from England, whereas a British person comes from the UK which consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Cheers!
