This is what it says: A Level

A minimum of 240 UCAS Tariff Points to include grades CC

Irish Leaving Certificate

240 UCAS Tariff Points to include BBCCC.

So how many leaving cert points is it?

Do you think I could get it seeing I would be living in donegal or live in dublin and live on campus and get around 430-460 LC points!

thanks

here is the exact course I want to do after the leaving-http://prospectus.ulster.ac.uk/course/?id=4932

  1. OK, so I assume you are taking the highers in the Leavers Cert. The list below shows how the UCAS points match each grade in the Higher LC. There is no way to convert from CAO points to UCAS points, you need to do it on a grade by grade basis.

    Its just a way of saying you must get the grades required (two Bs and 3 Cs at higher in the LC), however, B3,B3,C3,C3,C3 will leave you with under the 240 points, so add up the grades you expect from the list below - if they add up to 240, and if you expect 2 Bs and 3 Cs, you hit the criteria, that said, that is still no guarantee you'll be accepted, you'll just be at the level where you'll be considered for entry.

    A1 = 90

    A2 = 77

    B1 = 71

    B2 = 64

    B3 = 58

    C1 = 52

    C2 = 45

    C3 = 39

    D1 = 33

    D2 = 26

    D3 = 20
