I'm having my term test on next week. Most of my classmates are angry with me because of computer studies. I'm the only one in the class who did a computer course. If I do my term test properly I'm afraid that they will become more jealous of me. I'm planning to get high marks only for the final exam. Getting lower marks won't affect my final exam.So what shall I do? ...................... This may sound like a stupid qustion. But I'm lost. Can't get a correct decision.

  1. i had the same problem

to satisfy my friends i had started ignoring my studies

every body was telling me that u r very studious

my best Friend was feeling jealous about me

i ended up with very bad marks coz i wanna satisfy them so that i didn't get those remarks further

lost my reputation in the class

my friends were feeling happy at that time.

so i realized that there is no point that u r getting good or bad marks

u have to do just ur work nothing else.

    u r doing ur work

    nothing else

an honest work is always appreciated

it takes time when i got my reputation back.

i didn't get any thing being loyal to friends.

so ur work is n not the main cause .

may b u can understand the ans by my own experience.

  2. Do your best in school, even if you're facing peer pressure to underperform.  It seems like the entire universe to you now, but once it ends, you'll find that very little of that social pressure stuff matters any more.  Instead, what you do academically will make a big difference in your life down the road.  School may seem to take an eternity, but you'll be out of school several times as long as you were in it, and what you learn now defines what you will be when you're faced with important things, like holding down a career.

  3. I don't understand what you're lost on.  You worked harder than they did, so you know more than they do, therefore, you will get a better grade than them.. If they don't like it, they need to take a course, study harder or whatever, but that's not your problem.  The point of going to school is to learn, and good for you for wanting to do the best you can, they should have done the same!  You do your best on whatever exams you have coming up and let them worry about their own grades.  This is why the world is going down the drain now, too many people expect others to stop doing well so that they don't feel bad for being substandard!  Let them be jealous, who cares?  It's not like they couldn't have worked harder for themselves is it?  Were you the only one who had access to a computer course, or did they just not think to take one?  You just do your best and maybe offer to help a few people study if you really feel like you need to help the slackers out.

  4. It's not a stupid question - it's peer pressure. Just like any kind of peer pressure, you have to ignore what your classmates think in order to focus on what's best for you. Good luck! =)

  5. Just remember, it is your life.  You need to do what is best for you.  Kids can be mean.  Try not to let it get to you.  They are just jealous because you have taken innitiative and want to better your life.  Do the best you can in everything, they'll get over it.  Best of luck to you.  Kick some term butt!!!!!

  6. oh please please please please dont let them influence how you do in your test......one you will look back and regret it even if it doesnt affect your final mark, you are letting them dictate what is and isn't ok! please do your best, if they don't like it then they are not real friends, and you won't be with them for ever! think about it

    x*x

  7. I say that you do your best. Wether you do better then them or not doesnt make a difference! Its your future and you need to do the best you can!

  8. Always try to do your best, regardless of what others may say. Trust yourself!. Your friends ( if they are true friends) should be proud of you, and in the long run, You, yourself are the one that must live with your decision.

  9. It may be hard, but don't give in to peer pressure. You should never sell yourself short to appease others. Do your best no matter what. The only thing you can do is act humbly about it. Even if your class is graded on a curve there is no point in being mad at you. If they feel threatened then they should work at doing better, and not have you do worse. Good luck and keep your head up.
