The Knights of Labor, The American Federation of Labor, or The International Workers of the World (IWW)? This would be in or around 1900. What is your reason behind it?

  1. The Knights of Labor were almost gone by 1900.

The Industrial Workers of the World formed in 1905.

I would almost certainly have joined the IWW. I agree with Wobbly principles, and with lower dues.

  2. I definitely would NOT have been IWW!  They were, and remain, committed Marxist revolutionaries.

    From their official website:

    http://www.iww.org/en/node

"....historians and reporters often associate the IWW with Communism, even though the IWW is not a Communist organization. The IWW is a revolutionary industrial unionist organization, and its membership includes radicals of every stripe, including anarchist, communist, socialist, syndicalist, etc. "
