Please tell me why girls/guys?

I'm just reallly reallllyy curious.

Why are girls dying their hair blonde?Is it because they think guys find them attractive if their light haired? I mean, no offense, but what the heck is wrong with being a brunette or a red head? (other than the fact,, because I've talked to many girls, and they've all said they would switch theirselves for a blonde haired blue eyed girl any day)

Not that I'm saying that guys only care about looks, or that blondes are stupid or anything, but to me it doesn't make sense. Same thing goes to brown eyes/blue eyes.

Any answers?

For me, there is a really obvious answer.

My parents grew up in the Slovak/Lithuanian section of Pennsylvania

I'm 9/10th Lithuanian and a wee bit of Scottish. I have naturally auburn.brown hair and blue eyes but my mom started my brother and I off with dying our hair blonde since I was like 9ish. It is pretty obvious why too, Lithuania, being a neighbor to Poland was hit incredibly hard with WWII, its over now, but some of us from the old country cant help but think something like that will happen again, so we are doing our best to look aryan. I'm personally not so paranoid so i'm dying it back, but I can definitely see why my parents made the descision to transform our appearence.

AnnaBelle I agree with you.  Often people post comments and questions about who is prettier/better/ etc., blondes or brunettes.  I have always noted that, particulalrly with ladies of European extraction, the brunettes, hands down, have more character, depth, and radiance, and are more striking than blondes.  Flaming Redheads, like former screen stars Arelene Dahl (Mr. Lorenzo Llamas' mother), Rhonda Fleming, and Maureen O'Hara, also are more striking.

But America, as well as much of the world, sees blondes as the ultimate woman.  In addition, I love big, dark, doe eyes, like Joyce Walley-Kilmer and Anne Hathaway.  Blue eyes are nice, but the darker eyes get to me more.

So with so many people, especially rich, white, influential, and powerful men wanting blondes, it is no wonder so many of you go to such lengths to look accordingly.  But there is certainly nothing wrong with being a brunette or redhead.  Esthetically speaking, I prefer them any day.

I'm blond but I'm a natural blond and i think it is so trashy if a girl dyes her hair a bleach blond. it looks so bad and it makes up natural blondes look nasty. i personally think brunettes in is. if you look at actresses today, they are all dyeing their hair brown and if you look at megan fox. she is gorgeous. i would love to dye my hair a brownish red color but my skin tone is not made for that :/ sucks for me

I DYED MY HAIR BROWN OVER THIS PAST WINTER AND NOW I HIGHLIGHTED IT BLONDE SO I COULD GET TO MY DIRTY BLONDE ROOTS oops that was caps soorry but i think people think  that " its more fun to b a blonde  wihich i dont belive but w.e and i liked my hair brown i seemed to get more attenion with it brown

i have to agree with you, i mean i went ot puerto rico a week ago and ostly every girl i saw had blonde hair and it just mae them look soooo fake.as for me im fine with my brown hair i just want green eyes i think green eyes r gorgeous :/

Some people prefer blonde over their natural colour ^^ Just like others prefer black / Red / Etc.

It annoys me as well. There are way too many fake blondes running around now, because it's an "in" thing to be blonde I suppose. It looks very barbie-like and artificial, I can usually tell when someone has dyed their hair. And honestly, guys don't really care what hair color you are. They're more interested in the general body and face of a person.

But they're just frying up their hair. They'll regret it when they're 70 and their hair is falling out.
