Please tell me your paranormal experiences?

Whether its a near death experience or a ghost of a family member or a stranger I would be interested to know

when i was younger i would have dreams.  later in life these dreams became reality.  I wish i could understand it.  Things you couldnt make up if you tried.

Visited Benin, West Africa where Vodou was created over 10,000 years ago making it the oldest human tradition but it is not a religion or a satanic cult and it is not Vooodoo

They drum and these things made out of straw begin moving and rotating by themselves to the beat and everytime people picked them up things would be underneat

Even a man covered in straw it was scary to me but the locals said these straw things are their community police which I found ironic but its very paranormal they were moving by themselves because of the beat

Inside a hut a group of people were beating drums singing and with maracas then we were all clapping it took about 20 minutes then a girl began dancing and really fast sooo fast and went to the middle where there is a tree trunk which goes from the foundation to the roof she held on dancing and slowly she went up and up her legs were suspended in the air dancing with her hands on this trunk she made it all the way up to the roof dancing very fast I could  no belives my eyes. She then began to come down and when she did she shook so hard like she was having a fit then the music stopped she was speaking like an old man with her eyes closed I couldnt understand the language of course but she shook everyone hands a very strong hand shake like she would pull your hand very hard to her you whole body gets dragged and she shook your arm smiling. After she shook everyones hands she was talking to the other Beninians who understood her then out of no where she shook like she was having a fit again then fell down and as if she woke up the normal girl was back.

They told me that was a spirit of a dead man and since then I knew all mediums we see on TV are fake becuse this took 10  people drumming using maracas about 20 people clapping and signing 20 minutes only to get a 3 minute conversation throughout it I was dizzy body was swaying side to side and everyone was continuously yawning we were in there for over 2 hours but I swear it felt like 10 minutes. I later found out that the tree trunk in the middle represents the middle of the Universe and the hut was a round one with the trunk in the middle.

I cant convince anyone to believe me unless you go there I was lucky my parents originate from there so it was not hard to find this ceremony but if you want to I know there must be ways I did see Americans there in the other ceremony with the moving straw structures.

Also I asked if they can or have asked the dead where they are and they said you cant ask them that but even when you do they never tell you its some sort of secret which will stop the urge of suicide. They told me no there is not an afterlife but they are anywhere in this universe but just a spirit (a mind) they can go anywhere in space and time does not effect them only if they are in someones body are they in a afterlife otherwise they do not exist and cant effect here weird or what but we wont know untill we are there.

Also music is very powerfull as that was used in every ceremony

This experience made me a true believer . I get excited now when I think about it . I had have a few strange occurrences before this, but this was crazy to me . I was 17 I lived in the country. There was huge pine trees and oak trees all around on the land .The house tucked deep into the woods.With a long paved drive way.No street lights no other houses nothing but trees and. blackness.

  It was a moon less night . So, it's darker then the darkest of nights that night. I would say around midnight .I came out of the house. I had been very emotionally upset . I found myself collapsing in the middle of the driveway sobbing . While trying to pull myself together I decide to take the long dark walk the rest of the way down the driveway. I had my arm out in front of me afraid I was going to run into a tree.  When I got to the end of the driveway I had calmed down from concentrating on where I was going. I was only there a few moments . When I saw Someone or something come right up to me. I automatically asked who's there ? Which is odd for me even if it's in complete darkness. So I Started looking that direction really hard. I saw a figuare comeing towards me again slower . It looked like a black mass shaped like a short roundish women. The black of the mass was much darker then the night . As I was in Confusion, suddenly this Spirit got right into my face it was fast and I could feel the intence power of this energy. It was strong.It was in my face and it says "you go home now "!With out another heart beat I ran my *** Back up that dark driveway.It changed my life. There is Life after death .

Pah! Skeptics would call it a piece of dust floating in front of the camera, in actual fact it was ectoplasm...

In answer to your question, I used to be a christian and I used to believe that God talked to me. I would call this a paranormal experience, but have since come to realise that I was, in my own words, horribly deluded.

My brother and I were hanging out at his apartment and all of a sudden a candle on his kitchen counter, flew across the room. That we couldn't explain.

Another story is a story from my mom, her dad passed away, when she was a teenager and the night he passed away he was at the foot of her bed, and she didn't know what to think, the next morning she told her mom about him, and her mom said "I know, he appeared to me too...And we danced together."

I was really ill in 1955 at 16 with a mute influenza virus.  Nobody knew at first what I had and I think I became delirious my temperature was so high.  

However, I do remember seeing an angel at the foot of my parents' bed [on the ground floor - they slept in another room during my illness to be near]  I can still see it now - it didn't frighten me at all.  That was the night I reached something they called 'a crisis' and after the angel appeared I started to improve.  Anyway I'm still here and it's 2008!

I was 6 years old and my granddad had passed away a few weeks earlier. I was still a little young to understand and I couldn't go to the funeral because it was in a different province. That night --which was a few weeks after-- I awoke and turned over to see an older man standing in my doorway. I freaked out and jumped under my covers and did not come out because I was scared the face would be right there. And when i woke up the next morning I explained this man to my mother and father.. Everything from what he looked like to what he was wearing and my parents hair on their arms stood up because I explained my grandfather and what he was buried in.. but I wasn't at the funeral so I couldn't possibly know what he was wearing.

Ever since I was younger, I always thought there was a man standing on the landing right outside my bedroom door. I thought it was one of those childish fears you grow out of. When I grew older, one of my best friends who is really open to spirits and stuff like that, she sensed this man also. She said to me, you know you have a man protecting you standing right outside your door, and I was like yeah I've always sort of sensed him. It was so comforting to hear my friend sense him as well so I knew I wasn't crazy. I'd read that spirits that linger in this world because they can't move on, because they died a violent/traumatic death. So I asked my father if we'd had any murders in our family and he said well not any murders, but there was your great uncle Ralph who killed himself. It had been hushed up because at the time (1940's) a suicide in a strong christian family was nothing less than a scandal, so it had been covered up, and only because of me and my friend, we had "uncovered" it. I asked if I could see a photo of him and my father had a photo of Ralph with his football team. Out of the 20 men, I knew instantly which one Ralph was just by looking in his face. I showed my friend the photo, and sure enough, she too knew which one he was just by looking at him. I now keep this photo by my bed. And he's still outside my door according to my friend!!

ok when i was 5 years old i lived at a house near my grandmothers and it was really old and it was just me and my mom. well i used to have a big bag of toys that was pretty heavy.well one time my mom and me went to my grammas and wen we got back the bag of toys was blocking the doorway from the inside. and my mom once said that in the same house wen i was 3 my mom woke up in the morning one time and she had a secret compartment and her cigarets was all shredded up. i see stuff outta the corner of my eyes somethime at the house im at rigt now.

i havnt seen anything but i can't explain what did happen-

i was lying in bed on my back and staring up at the ceiling just thinking, when suddenly something pushed down on my legs, like someone was sitting on them. i was too scared to look at my legs, and after a while it just went away. eventually i went to sleep, and the next day i was sitting downstairs with my mum eating lunch, and an overwhelming force of sadness came over me and i just burst into sobbing. it was so wierd because i wasnt even thinking anything bad it was just half way through talking about a past holiday! and it was like a force not an emotion. i can't really explain, but it was really strange
