Please tell what is Tivo?

Tivo lets you record tv shows while you are home or away.

you can also set it to adaptive which automatically records tv programs for you based on shows you may have recorded before hand.  and as i said before you can download an application to your cellular device and remotely record away from home.

tivo is the pioneering company that first made DVR's (digital video recorders) their  user interface is easier to use than many of the "knockoffs" that cable and sat providers use.

they are basically computers that do the job of a VCR but digitally on a hard drive, they allow you to tape a show, buffer it and watch it on the fly. or watch one channel while recording another.

It's a relatively new technology that came out in the last 10 years or so. Its used for recording tv shows and also smart enough to pick other tv shows it thinks you will like along the way. it also allows you to pause, rewind and fastforward live tv.
