Question

I have a learning disability, and well my grades are not really the best, but yet they are all passing, my grades went down on my first year of High school.(witch I'm going in to my second year),I really didn't like the school I was at all and the only teacher that helped me threw that and told me I could do what ever I wanted and gave me hope, passed away and that kinda just killed me and I really didn't care to much about school.I'm trying to switch in to a hight up school where they are all about academic, witch I think is great because I was never getting that at my school/never got pushed but I'm going to have a meeting with the head of that high school,I'm trying to think of a way to say that would be smarter then this way("I want to push my education and strive for my goal, I fell your school will push me,to do that,I don't want my past grades to affect where I want to be and I feel that your school would be best") any ideas??

Calm down and be yourself.   Collect your thoughts and write them down on 3x5 cards if that will help you not be too nervous.   Tell them what you said here, "I feel your school will push me to get my education and help me to strive to that goal."    Ask "Will my past grades affect where I want to be in this school or will I get a fresh start?"

Ask the school if they will test your abilities and put you where you need to start to get the best you need at this time.
