Please what is the theme ?

i read the book something upstairs but to me theres no theme to it does anyone know what it is

I think the theme is about vengeance, justice, revenge, what goes around comes around, etc.  Hope that helps.

i think it's just like themes in cellphones and theme songs..for example, you are going to write a poem in a paper about love for your boyfriend, and you like to put some designs on its background..so what would you do? you would put designs that would fit to your poem..like for example you decided to draw a girl and a boy holding each others' hands, then, your border would be hearts..that's what i understand about the word theme..

To me it seems like horror, or adventure?
