Please women, I need your help!?

I'm a 17 year old guy and I play on the school soccer team. for some reason my mom is forcing me to wear a jockstrap and cup when i play. i have told her that i dont need/ want to wear one but she wont let me play if i dont, its not like she does this about anything other protective gear like shin guards, she doesnt care about those, its just about a jocktrap and cup, what is her deal>?

dosnt it hurt like a ***** to get hit in the balls? your mom just dosnt want that to happen to you! the same reason se wants you to wear one of those padded helmet things if you were about to go into a boxing match. (she dosnt want her baby to get hurt)

You should be guided by your coach, or perhaps opinions from several coaches.  Are t******e injuries common in your sport? Or particularly damaging when they do occur?  If some players wear them and it's just seen as a little conservative to do so, then I would do so.  If you'd be the only one, and your coaches think it's excessive, then you may have a point.

I don't know anything about soccer, but I'm mother of a son whose an athlete and I take a strong interest in preserving his future health as well, which sometimes he is less aware of.  Consider this... can you envision an occurrence where you might thank her later?

On a side note... I wish at least one male person would answer!  Lol.

You know, I think she wants grandchildren by you some day, and she wants to be sure that it happens.  And so should you be thinking about protecting your "package"--soccer can be a very rough sport, sport!!   So do your mom a favor, OK?

Her deal is to protect your p***s and s*****m from injury which could lead to future health problems.  Please listen to her.  I can't imagine the coach would let you play without them.  If he does, he shouldn't.

because she's looking out for her future grandchildren if you get hit in the groin area hard enough you may not be able to have children its important to protect yourself.
