  1. Hello, hope you continue to feel better, but be very aware of what is going on inside of you daily. Instead of just going off the medication did you consider going to a different doctor. It sounds like the one you went to was not real sure of the diagnosis.  Was there something about the Seroquel that you didn't like or just the fact that you were on medication? Was it helping you feel better? Since it's only been 12 days since you weaned yourself off, there is what they call a half life onSeroquel, which means it will likely take more than 12 days to be completely out of your system.

Do you have someone there with you (adult) that can help you watch your moods? Especially when you speak of psychotic features, that can be very dangerous with a new baby. Please take care- it appears that you have a lot of insight into yourself, don't lose it now. God Bless Reggie

  2. Bipolar means you experience low periods and high periods.  You need to go back to your MD, or a new MD, and discuss the whole issue.  Stopping your medication without medical supervision is dangerous.

  3. WHAT?

Do you speak ANY forms of English?  Here is a crazy, nay, radical idea, talk to a DOCTOR or counselor instead of giving personal information to and seeking advice from strangers.

  4. You can't help that you have bipolar but you can help not getting professional advice.

See your doctor.  You shouldn't cease medication (any medication) without discussing it with your doctor first and allowing him/her to supervise your withdrawal.

It looks like, from your name, that you have 5 children.  Get help for yourself and the sake of your children.  They will thank you for it when they're older.

    Good luck to you. =)

  5. I am REALLY Surprised you were put on Seroquel 2 months after having a baby.  You should consult a new physician.  If you never had any symptoms of depression or sycosis prior to having your baby you should definitely get a second opinion.  I know from experience women are VERY VERY emotional and hormonal after having a baby.  I was very emotional for about 6 weeks and I thought I was going crazy and had postpartum depression but things are fine now.  Seroquel is a serious drug and 200mg sounds like a LOT.  You should consult a new physician or psychiatrist just to be sure.  I am obviously NOT a Dr. just a mom who remembers being very depressed and emotional after having my baby.  Good luck!
