  1. LOL been ther done that. my hamsters are brother and sisster and they hade babys together. its ok, there not like people, the babys will be fine. heres some info. the mothers have to be alone with the babys, take out the father and the ofther hamsters.and but the in a semprate cage. DO NOT I MEEN NEVER! LET THE DADDY BE WITH THE BABYS. i made the mistake of letting the daddy be with the babys and he almost killed one.  and dont pick the babys up.when there 4 or 5 weeks old it will be ok to pick them up.if u pick them up 2 soon the mother will eat them, thata meens no toching the babys! last once there over one mounth old seperate the boys from the girls or u will be have the same problom all over agein, and dont worry, the mommmy will deliver her babys right just dont stress her out, heel the house quiet!

    good luck!

  2. it's a hamster. it doesn't matter. if it's pregnant it's pregnant. it will have babies and then you will have more hamsters. hooray. it's not a big deal.

  3. she does sound pregnant...... Hmm.. And that was her brother??? eeww! lol

  4. All the behavioural patterns of your female hamster does seem that she is pregnant along with the fact that she was in presence of a male a few days back. Pups from the same litter can mate, that is the reason male and female baby hamsters  are separated 4-5 weeks after they are born.

By the way, the babies will not turn out "demented". However there is scientific evidence that inbreeding between the same litter can cause weaker babies but that is not always the case.

Now that it is too late to regret what has happened to her, what you can do is to take very good care of her since pregnant hamsters can give birth to a weak litter and eat pups if not taken care of properly.

Make sure you give her lots of clean food and water and supplement her protein intake by giving her hard boiled egg whites and little quantities of skimmed milk. Also supplement her regular food with pieces of fresh vegetables like carrots.Add vitamin drops to the water that she drinks. Throw away any stale food after a day. Try to put the cage in an area where she has the least disturbance from noises and activities.

Clean out her nest 2 days before her delivery and put in lots of fresh bedding (only aspen shavings, no pine or cedar and no scented shavings please) and also lots of unbleached / untreated toilet paper for her to make her nest. Put lots of food in the cage. After that leave the cage undisturbed for 2 weeks (except to change the food and water) after the babies are born since any disturbance can irritate the mother and cause her to hurt her babies. Remember never to touch the babies for two weeks from the day they are born.

And of course, don't repeat this mistake of putting in a male and female hamster together again.

  5. TAKE HER TO THE VET ASAP IF SHE IS YOU WILL NEED TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO HER.

  6. honestly i dont care

  7. Yup, she's probably pregnant, unless she's fixed. Animals don't care if they're brother and sister. They haven't caught on to the concept of genetics yet.

As for them being retarded: You're talking about hamsters. If they were retarded, would you know?

  8. She maybe is pregnant and she wont come out demented leave her alone for two weeks dont touch babies or she'll eat them just go in to give food and water.

    P.S

whats up with the hamster party thing.
