Pleeease! what animal is it??

Question

When I went to Singapore, during the night safari, I saw an animal which was half black - half white, it had a nose like an anteater and was as big as about a pig. Please tell me what animal it is. Thanks!!

It's a Malayan Tapir.  It is not related to pigs, but does remind you of one in it's body shape.  

They live in the forests of Malaysia and feed on vegetation. Their noses are very sensitive and help them to find food.  They were a good food source for the native people long ago.  Tapirs are rather gentle creatures and usually do nothing aggressive unless extremely provoked.  The male has one of the longest and most bizarre looking penises in the animal kingdom.

There are different species of Tapirs in other parts of the world, like in South America.  A baby Tapir is really cute, and has white spots all over it.
