I work at a library with this young woman. She's a shelver. The boss says we have to work for our whole shift except for a 15 min bread. After she finishes shelving everything, sometimes she shelf reads or straightens up but other times she'll set down & read or get on the computer only getting up to straighten and shelve new stuff

  1. If her actions don't throw more work on you and you're not her supervisor, I would just ignore and move on.  You're not the only person who's noticed what she's doing, so leave it alone and don't worry about it.

  2. What else would you expect her to do?  She is a shelver.  So, she shelves.  When she's finished with that, she's finished.

You don't make yourself look good by tattling on her.  If the boss wants her to do something else, boss will tell her what else to do.

  3. lol at shortlib answer.but to you, i would say just to continue to do your job

  4. This is a case where you mind your own business. Your coworker is perfectly capable of s******g up her own job without you interfering. Not only that, but you’ll be seen as a tattle-tale by others (including your boss).

Just do your job and let your coworker ruin hers.

  5. I wish I had a 15 min. bread. I love bread.
