Question:

Plexiglass to Wood? Reptile Display?

So, I'm buying a tortoise for my girl friend. I looked at displays and they are extremely expensive so I figured I'd do something a little creative and make one. Now, I figure I would stain two peices of wood then put plexiglass around the bottem peice and cover it with the top. I would of course cut a hole out of the top and place a screen that opens. However, I was wondering how i could attach the plexiglass to the wood. I've heard about super glue but I want it to look flush, that you won't see the glue. I could do screws if i have to but I was wondering if anyone knows any way to attach plexiglass cleanly to wood. Thanks.

  1. use a router if u have one with a bit sized for the thickness of the plexy.rip a groove .if u dont have a router and u can cut straight with a circular saw use that just make sure to set it shallow. or u could use a table saw if u have one of those ......many steps..good luck
