I am a foreigner studying in Singapore,I don't know how to take a bus and MRT in Singapore!Where can I buy a map and instructions to ride a bus and MRT?

Ask your classmates to bring you to a local bookstore, ask the cashier to bring you a "Mighty Minds Singapore Street Directory 2008/2009" and "Mighty Minds Singapore Bus Guide 2008".

Those books can also be found at any petrol stations.

check out any local shop tucked in some corner or better go to the bus station directly and look out for information. It should be too much of a problem in a place like singapore.......i was there 7 years back and it's quite easy moving about in singapore

Before you step out of your house, use the internet and go to http://www.streetdirectory.com and click on bus/mrt guide they will supply you with the shortest route to your destination and even how many bus stops you need to get there, sometimes even the price of your mrt trip. or even better buy a bus guide like what  Soapy_Raindrops said. hi i tried looking on google for you but everything is totally not helpful cause google has to  many useless sources. i would just keep googling it. and ask a local.
