Previously,i asked a question concerning my friend's future visa application at an embassy in nigeria,CPG gave me an answer.Although the question is still open,i have asked a second part of the question as follows. Are the anwers to the visa interview questions(the visa interview questions are the questions that CPG gave in response to my question titled"Pls,answer any of these questions or all of them?"on my profile)good enough or approriate for someone from nigeria to be given a student visa to the U.S?If they are not, suggest appropriate ones.I am sorry that i couldn't put the visa interview questions(viq)on this question, because i am late for an appointment right now.The answers(a) to the viq's are:1.Because it has a good study environment. There are suitable facilities for different courses.3.I have chosen texas southern university because its college of pharmacy is known to have graduated sound graduates.4.About 6yrs.5.My father would send money to my account occasionaly.

  1. CPG did answer your other question, and he did it very well - so much so that there was no need for anyone else to add anything else.  Considering the effort he put into the answer, I should think that, before you start capitalizing on his answer to ask another question,  you at least owe him the courtesy of choosing his previous answer as Best Answer.

As for your new question, your answers are suitable if all other aspects of your application are in order.  Please remember that there is no magic to the visa process - you must simply demonstrate, in a satisfactory manner, that you have a legitimate reason to go to the US, that you can provide for yourself financially, that you will abide by the laws of the US, and that you intend to depart the US when it is time for you to do so.

  2. Before I commence answering your new question, I would just like to thank Curious1usa for his kind words and to state that what he said is absolutely correct,  there is no magic to the visa process.

I would however like to give you some feedback on your answers to the questions I mentioned in my previous answer

I would just like to point out that there a no trick questions, although the interviewer may ask you the same question which they have slightly re-phrased. To confirm my point, see questions one and eight. The key is not to give all your information for the one answer, otherwise you will end up repeating yourself for a later question.

    Anyway your answers are fine.

However I would just like to point out that for question 4, I would not say 6 years unless this is what it says on your I-20.

If on your I-20 it states 4 years - then this is what you should say, do not state a period longer than what is on your I-20.

Question 5 - Do not mention the word 'occasionally' - this automaticly sends the alarm bells ringing. - Just state that I am being supported by my family through their means (show the interviewer the financial support document if needed).

Question - 6 is just an add-on from questions 2 and 3, it could also be used to follow on from questions 7 and 8.

The best bit of advise I could ever give you for this, is to remember that it is NOT test, it is just an interview and be prepared.

    Your friend will be fine.
