  1. There's a feature on Yahoo Groups with the Edit Preferences at the top of the Yahoo Group page in the upper right hand corner of the Yahoo Groups screen that has a section that allows HTML to be turned on or off.  If it is showing that the HTML feature is off click the box to turn it on and then click "Save".  The feature will now be in place.

If that still doesn't work I would then recommend getting in touch with a Yahoo Groups customer service representative to let them know what's going on in case there might be some kind of a technical issue such as an error with page set up that could be causing the problem.

  2. you can only see those attachments by getting individual mail. yahoo doesn't store these in the archives, there'll just be a blank area where the image is while reading off the homepage of a Yahoo group..

if you are a member, go to the homepage on the left and near middle tab click Settings

    Membership requires approval

Messages from new members require approval

    All members can post messages

    Email attachments are permitted <-----

    Members can hide email address

    Listed in directory

    be sure attachments are allowed.

if your the owner and attachments are not alowed, this setting is within management- messages- Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click the edit- 4th column choose distribute- click save changes

but to see the attachments, you have to have individual mail and open it through your own mail provider
