  1. I to have PCOS and an on clomid. Yes it has side effects but so does any other medication that you take. For me I  get hot flashes and a little tired. not enough to make me cranky or anything. While clomid makes you ovulate yes, producing many eggs is not a bad for the ovaries. people have been using clomid for a long time. if it was so unsafe they would have pulled it years ago. Good Luck and Baby dust.

  2. ive never heard anything about letrozole but clomid is prescribed to many women with pcos, they normally team it up with metaformin and most of those women that do this for a few months end up pregnant and then they're a mommy 9 months later

if your really concerned, express this to your doctor, he/she will explain the side effects and risks and so forth to you

  3. its true that woman with pcos dont ovulate on their own in every cycle.i have pcos & i m going to a fertility specialist too.last month i didn't ovulate on my own so my docter is going to put me on the same treatment this cycle.clomid & injections but no letrozole.yes my docter told me that clomid & the injections will produce eggs but it will be all controlled by the docters.they will cal u for scanning every other day to moniter it.i trust my docter completely & u should do the same.this all might sound scary & confusing to us but they r professionals & they know what works.i m actualy very excited about starting this treatment & specialy clomid.dont worry, just talk to ur docter again & ask her as many questions u like.i did the same.all the best to u.
