In vector algebra it's common to notate the coordinate system like, <1, 2, 3> and it is understood that this is 1i + 2j + 3k.  Points are notated as (1,2,3).  Notice the difference in brackets.

In your questions you have presented a point, and two surfaces.  Did you intend to write <20a, 18a, -10a> and <-10a, 8a, 15a>?  If so did you intend for 'a' to be undefined.
