Pls help me decide which laptop brand should i buy, Neo or MSI?

Question

i m planning to buy a laptop and im looking at neo or msi brand because they are a little bit cheaper than other brands.

what can you say or your experience with this brand. im in the philippines. your which brand model do you recommend?

If they are only a "little bit cheaper" I would advise that you save a "little bit more money" and buy something decent from a tier 1 supplier like IBM, Toshiba or HP

I have used and supported many brands in my career and can tell you that saving money on a laptop purchase will cost you down the line.....buy quality and you can expect great service and support. buy cheap and you take your chances

Yes, many components are made by one company, however smaller vendors lack the logistics and capital to provide a proper after sales service.

In 2003 Acer were contracted to build laptops for Toshiba and a range of Sattelite Pro laptops were released into the UK market. 18 months later, Toshiba had replaced hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of badly built laptops of which my company owned 18 all of which had failed more than once

Glad they were branded Toshiba else we would have been stuck with 18 failed laptops....as it happened, Toshiba replaced the lot FOC.......and that's my point

did you know, MSI makes the laptop shells for HP and dell?

basically, think about it like this:

a guy builds laptops. he also makes laptops for walmart.

both are the same quality, but walmart sells them for more, simply because nobody knows that the guy builds the laptops and sells his own selection for less.

so, are the walmart laptops better quality? no, they're the same.

i have an MSI, it's the same as any other HP. the same components, the same case materials, the same screen.

personally i'd wait to get more money and buy a Dell, Toshiba or another known laptop brand. But as far as those two go, i worked on a MSI and it was very much ok, worked well and the owner told me he had no technical problems with it.

So, MSI would be my choice.
