i want to go to burnaby canada because my same s*x partner migrated there just last march 2008. her family wouldn't want to give me an invitation letter. what could be the alternative ways for me to be able to go to my partner in canada? pls help me. i really want to be with her asap. for those who would like to help, you could email me at [e-mail].

If your partner wishes to sponsor you, please note that she would have to be a citizen first.

The other responder was correct except for the statement that you would have to get married. You would not have to get married although that is certainly an option.

Of course, you can always just visit with her, couldn't you?

You didnt say where you're from...

If you just want to visit, some nationalities don't necessarily need an entry visa/letter of invitation.

If you actually want to immigrate into Canada, and your relationship with your partner is serious, she/he could sponsor you. You would have to get married, though, but then you would be eligible for sponsorship by spouse.
