Pls help!!!?

i have HCL 4.1 speaker system. the sound from the four speakers is excellent and digital. problem is that the subwoofer is not deleivering real bass as it did when i purchased it. it is 2 year old. what can be the problem is there any software which enhances the bass. pls help in detail.

Check the connections of your subwoofer and see if it's working. Next, check the phase switch and see where it provides better bass. The most important thing to do after these is to correct the placement of your subwoofer.

One small trick - Keep your subwoofer on the chair/sofa where you usually sit and play some good track with lots of bass. Get down on all your fours and crawl around in your room trying to listen for the deepest and tightest bass. It can be somewhere near the corners or sometimes even in some wierd location depending on your room. Mark the spot, then keep your subwoofer there and enjoy your music.
