its about my computer. i went to best buy and gateway but no one seems to really want to help me out and understand. im just really confused. my computer says i don't have any more room. i deleted files i don't need. but still no room. and external hard drive i don't want. so im looking at internal hard drive. my computer is a gateway from 2002. i have the tower. i want to put alot of gb in it but i really want to put a terabyte in it. someone said my computer won't recongnize a terabyte. is that true? as for gigabyte is 500 gb alot or can i put more. someone also told me i need some space to work with. is that so? pls i just want to put more space in my computer. i store my pictures in it. thanks so muck for your time

  1. If you are using it for storage space, why not just put the data(pictures) on discs and store it that way.  You could put disc in and pull up picture anytime.  You would need way less gb and use mostly RAM.


  2. Ok-here is the answer. But a question first-do you have room in your computer for a second hard drive? If so fine.

    First clean out your hard drive you have now -defrag.delete temp files,empty your recycle bin, delete all cookies.Because you need space on your "C" drive.How big is your hard drive now?

    I would say a 500GB hard drive is real good-how much do you have now-80GB ? When you install a NEW hard drive you have to jumper it to "slave".I would get a WD or a Seagate.WD has 3 years  and Seagate 5 years guarantee.Look in the link.After you get your new hard drive move your pictures to it-then you will have more room on your old drive.
