Pls motivate me to finish my essay!!!?

its driving me mad.......=0= its a major work assignment which im meant to do thoughout the whole year and ive only done half of it...n its due in 2 days....i have 2 write like 1000 more words...=( n ive knida given up

1000 words isnt really THAT long. Just add in some big filler words and talk in circles.  and it will be over before you know it. Better to get a bad grade then not turn it in. Or make up some stuff. Not sure exactly what it is about.

as a last resort make a paper just as long as to why you didn't do it. maybe the teacher will be amused and have pity on you.

1000 words? That's actually quite short. My essay's usually range from 2000+.

Heres some inspiration because I know how hard it is to continue on an essay that you really don't care about. I once had to write a 10 page essay on Of Mice and Men, and we had a week. I finished on the last day, at exactly midnight.

Here's something that always worked for me. Since you have a limited time, begin early in the morning. What do you want the most at that moment? Ice cream? A swim? Promise yourself that you are only allowed to get that something if you finish.

If that doesn't work, think of your subject. Jazz it up a bit! Change it so that you're in the person's shoes. Or that it's about you.

Ask your friends for help!

You have to do it - it;s that simple!!

Go to your room, put on some music that you like (not too loudly) read what you have so far and imagine you are watching what you have written as a movie, then continue the story.....

Remind yourself that this does matter, it may effect your chances to get into college by affecting your GPA. See if you can think of a reward for yourself for just finishing the job and then just do it. The person who said a bad grade beats a zero is so correct.

I'll do just that. Firstly, get off the computer. If you are still on the computer,  then listen: there are approximately 118.5 million unemployed in the country. And that's all I'm going to say.

Oh gosh, I know that feeling!  And the longer you leave it the harder it becomes to get started.  But the easiest way now is just to work with the time you do have.  Set small goals for yourself.  If you know you need to get it done in two days, work out how much of it you'll get done by the end of the first day, and work towards getting that part completed.  A good way to start is by writing a simple essay plan, or outline, that way when you start writing the actual body of the essay you are more likely to stay on track and only write what's needed for your final copy.  And remember don't do more than is required; a killer piece of writing is snappy and to the point.  Keeping to the word limit in a succinct fashion and saying exactly what's needed is a skill that teachers look for.  

Good luck with getting it finished!  And don't forget to promise yourself a treat such as your favourite snack/meal or some chill out time with your favourite dvd when it's completed.  You'll feel so much better when it's all behind you.  

And remember, sometimes we work better under pressure!  I remember some of my best (and highest scoring) essays and assignments for high school were written at the very last minute and/or at 3 in the morning!
