Whenever i plug in a USB device i get a bluescreen. It doesn't state the driver that's being affected, but it does state the stop code. I've searched the code to no avail.

STOP: 0X000000FC (0XBAD078E8, 0X0A9DF963, 0XBAD07848, 0X00000001)

Please help this is very annoying.

I've tryed...

-System Restore

-Removing any newly installed software

-Cleaning registry

-Plugging in device and restarting (I still got the message)

-Different USB ports

Nothing has worked so far

Dell Inspiron e1505 (6400)

Intel Core Duo 1.86ghz

2gig Ram

Windows XP Home SP3

  1. you only need to first part after the stop error (STOP: 0X000000FC) when searching for the error on the internet, check this page out it describes your problem and it has a resolution to it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886348
