Hey, wondering if the plug outlets for electricity in Costa Rica are the same as the U.S.. i looked online and U.S and Costa Rica are both 120v.. does that mean i don't have to buy an adapter for when i go there to plug in my outlets?

  1. you don't need an adapter.

  2. no adapter neaded.i travel to costa rica5-6 times a year and never a problem

  3. They are the same outlets--except outlets for 3 pronged (grounded) plugs are not as common as in the U.S. so it is best to bring an adapter to allow you to use a 2 pronged outlet.

  4. You can use the same plugins without any adaptors.

Only Europe and the middle east are different.

  5. You dont need an adapter.

But a small surge protector might not be a bad idea... the quality of their power is horrible.

  6. nope, u don't need an adapter. only europeans do.

here it's the same as the usa

  7. Costa Rica has the same frequency and voltage, and they use the same plug and outlet designs. You are correct - you don't need an adapter.
