  1. Did your phone come with a CD. If so load that first.


  2. How should we know? You didn't tell us what kind of phone it is, what kind of computer you have, or what operating system you're using.

  3. Some handsets (like mine) have the software built in,so when you plug it into a USB it gets recognised.

    There should have been a CD in the 'phone box when new. If you've not got the CD, go to the www site of the manufacturer and go to the support/download pages. Pick your handset model and it will allow you to download the relevant software to your PC.

    Install it and restart PC. Plug handset into USB and you should find it works!

    I'd burn a copy of the file to a CD in case your PC malfunctions and you lose what is on the hard drive.

    If you areusing a PC that is not your own (i.e. work or library PC) they have restrictions on what you can download which only a network administrator/supervisor can override.
