Plugging bass into guitar amp, it worked?

i used a guitar amp for my bass today, and the amp didnt blow up or anything. any reason why??

  2. there shouldn't be any damage done really,as long as ya don't crank up the volume too high...i have a 4 channel crate amp and i can plug two guitars together with a bass and i have been playin on it with two guitars and a bass for well over 4 years now,it still works good...but still guitar amps aren't build for bass guitar frequencies,so i suggest just go easy on the amp if ya want it to have longer life,always turn the bass k**b on the amp to the minimum and keep the volume at a moderate...

  3. It could be because you had the volume low; but guitar amps are definitely not constructed to handle the low frequencies of a bass guitar...using them for a bass is a REALLY bad idea >_<
