  1. depends where you live and how cold your winters are

    7m x 4m x (2.5) m high (average) gives you a room of 70 cubic metres which is big,

i would go for 2 double 5 or 6 ft onesat either end if possible depending on your doors windows etc as mentioned before

  2. I would tend to go for "senokos"   in addition Try to fit them on walls that don't have furniture,   i,e, one behind the door, and the other diagionally opposite , if possible , to prevent a "thermal gradient "  not on an outside wall, and not under windows.

A "thermal gradient" occurs when there is one radiator in a room, the hot air rises, and this causes an internal draught, which is uncomfortable.  when two radiators are fitted , they tend to counteract this phenomenon.

LATER     Go for double convectors, and have ONE fitted with a thermostat, not two.

  3. it depends on the ceiling hight, the level of insulation and type of floor (carpet/hardwood)

but normally one (double layered) radiator for a well insulated room. add a valve at the end so one can adjust the flow of water into it.

  4. Depending on doors and windows, but a double and single would suffice.

  5. The best thing you can do here is search for a site with maybe "calculate radiator size". A good site will ask for details like, room size length and breadth, ceiling height, type of floor, number of outside walls, number and sizes of windows, wall/ceiling insultation, etc. This type of information gives the most accurate radiator size you'll require in terms of output, either btu's or kilowatts. Don't be concerned that it sounds a bit complicated, just give the figures asked for, the result returned will be accurate. And if for example a figure of 10,000 btu is returned, you can then decide what physical size of rad/rads you want,  might be long ang low, or shorter and higher, whichever suits where you want to fix it/them,  single or double panel, either way,  should be 10,000btu output total.
