What is the difference between sweet plums and sour plums?

look for lots of deep rich color in the fruit, as well as softness. If the fruit is hard and lightly colored it is a good bet it will be on the sour side.

One is sweet and the other is sour. I figure you aren't asking for the comic  effects. Both are high in vitamin C and A, and in fiber; the sweet ones are obviously higher in sugar, and the dried ones are generally referred to as prunes.
