My + side is I know the unreasonable man haters better.

Another + Side is that there is very few of them.

So my question is what is your plus side of those disturbing questions and the sick people that support those kind of things?

  1. This is weird. That first person, "Molly" said in her question "I myself am not a feminist and I think it might be a good idea ..." (direct quote from http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... )

How can this attitude (of being in favour of such invasive and disgusting ideas) be put at the door of feminists? Not one person I know, feminist or otherwise would support such nonsense for anyone!

Seriously, you have misread the question.

    Cheers :-)

  2. Crouching Doggie-- Most feminists I know espouse sexual freedom (for men AND women) and reproductive rights. =]

These questions are absolutely despicable. I can only assume it is trolls that ask them, but they truly are some of the most disturbing and disgusting questions I've seen (notice my d adjective theme? I could continue: the people that posted them are d!cks).

They also are completely implausible. Hymen tests? Yes, because it's so easy to tell if a young woman's hymen was broken from s*x as opposed to from sports, etc...

I'm also pretty sure that the suggestions violate the hippocratic (sorry, misspelt it earlier >< ) oath.

The only plus side I can think of is that no one in the US government takes that sort of thing seriously... yet.

  3. Some troll is jumping up and down in thier cave because of all the attention thier outragous question has attracted

  4. Medically speaking, these individuals are highly sociopathic and lack a fundamental understanding of medicine and medical ethics.

The notions of "virginity" tests are so absurd that I won't even take the time to address this silly notion.  A user who advocated that males should be administered therapeutic medications and agents for chemical castration to young men clearly doesn't understand that this would constitute medical malfeasance and he essentially typifies sociopathic behaviour and is, indeed, an egregious threat to society and should be under Psychiatric care.

There is no plus side in the modern era; neither medically nor socially.  It's putrid that human beings can even come up with such absurd notions that construe normal adolescent sexual development as somehow "abnormal."

It is likely post-modern feminism that has led to this sort of sadistic and barbaric behaviour and thinking, either directly or indirectly and I expect that this sort of pathology will only become more prevalent in Western society, regrettably.

ADDENDUM TO REPORT:  What is strikingly offensive is how the "clever" device to imply that there is a hypocrisy to the manner in which I practice surgery between males & females is so ludicrous that it's virtually unfathomable that even a post-modern feminist can be this hateful toward the Medical Profession and the Hippocratic Oath by which we practice, in all aspects of patient care.  The anatomic regions which consume the breadth of my surgical specialty are indistinguishable between males or females, thus there's no basis to treat one differently than the other.  To describe as the very code of my profession as hypocritical is simply a manifestation of the utter hatred which underlies post-modern feministic dogma.  The first tenet of the sacred oath by which I practice is translated from the Latin as "First Do No Harm," and moreover means that even if my patient hates me and wishes that I be eradicated by sheer virtue of my gender, I will treat such a patient in the same manner as I would any other patient.  If this is not suggestive that there is no hypocrisy in how seriously I take my professional duties and my professional oath, I frankly don't know what is.

It's apalling how hateful post-modern feminists are toward not only men, unborn children but the Medical Community as a whole.  For shame.  The Medical Community does not have any conspiracy against any group nor hatred toward anyone.  It's purely dedicated to the diagnosis & treatment of the ill or injured patient, irrespective of gender.  When even the Medical Community is despised by post-modern feminism, clearly this represents the pivotal point at which Western society will collapse imminently.

May you never require the need for medical nor surgical care, heaven willing.

ADDENDUM 2:  There is nothing to be "Cheerful" about when the sacred oath by which I practice is referred to by an author (which I can't refer to by guidelines) as the "HYPOCRATIC" oath.  This is venomous and sickening, beyond words.

ADDENDUM 3: The obtuse marginal artery is irrelevant to this discussion.

  5. I hate to be Captain Obvious but apparently I have to be...

Only one of those questions was actually a question. I think the girl asking if hymen tests should be performed was honestly asking that. The other two were playing off that one, and being more than a little sarcastic... maybe it was just me.

Anyhow, as a very, very feminist woman I find the idea of "virginity" tests abhorrent in the extreme and am quite offended anyone would associate those religious-throwback BS ideas with feminism.

Then again, this from those who would call us n***s as well... quite laughable.

  6. I think an STD would be better. People can still get std's from other places without being 'unchaste' (i.e. from their mother during childbirth, or being molested but they don't remember)

Every person I have ever dated has gotten tested with me. That way, we know we are both clean and if something does come up, then we know it was from before and not because of cheating.

I'm not really sure what a "virginity" test can prove in terms of chastity. There are plenty 'unchaste' activities that don't require penetration.

  7. The plus side is these people are morons and know little to nothing about the human body, so the chances of this holding any sort of ground outside of a cult is very slim.  Sadly this is not the case in many countries who are less educated.
