Plus sized clothes in Paris?

I'm going to Paris next Easter on a school trip. I am 16 years old and am plus sized(i wear an xl/size 15 in American). Do they sell any clothes in my size anywhere in Paris and maybe even on the Champs Elysees? Would I have to go to special stores to find clothes like shirts, pants, jackets, etc. to find them in my size or do they sell them in mainstream stores? If anyone knows any places that do sell clothes in my size that they could recommend, please tell me. Would it be easier for me just to concentrate my shopping on accessories and shoes. Any advice on shopping is appreciated. Thanks :)

  1. If it's next easter, try to lose weight before the trip..is almost a year away, and you'll feel better about yourself and you'll be healthier.

    :D you can do it!!

  2. There are at least 3 chains of stores that carry plus sized clothes...

Galleries Lafayette (more classic and higher priced)

    Kiabi

    C&A

(these two are more modern and have clothes styles for younger people)

  3. i actually don't know. i would deff. look on the internet for stores in france that sell plus size. being plus size myself, i would look for handbags and shoes while I was there.

    you're lucky girl!

  4. Hey, I've just returned from Paris a week ago. I'm 18 and I also wear plus size clothing. I wear a size 18, so it’s a little bit harder to find clothes in my size. While I was in Paris it was really hard to find clothes in my size. So I basically stuck to purses and shoes. I didn't try very hard to find my size though because I didn't have much time to shop, and all the people in my group liked different things than I did. I mean hello you are at the fashion capital of the world and all you want is a  t-shirt? Yeah I know they were crazy! But I wouldn't recommend you shopping at Champs Elysees. It is VERY expensive. I mean If you can afford to buy the stuff then all power to you, but I don't have that kind of money. Especially after you factor in how much it would be when you are spending almost double for it because the difference in our money to theirs. I mean It takes almost double of our money to equal theirs. So you see a shirt that is SO CUTE! and it cost 70 Euros on the Champs Elysees at the lowest, well that will cost you 140 dollars for a shirt. Yeah like I said I don't have that kind of money.

I seen on here somebody had left an answer saying you should lose weight. Hunny don't lose weight! They are stupid. How long are you going to keep that weight off? Long enough to go to Paris, get a cute shirt or jeans, then in a year be back in a size 15, and never be able to wear your cute shirt or jeans. I swear it still amazes me how stupid some people are. I have learned something that takes a lifetime for some people to learn, and I'm blessed that I have finally figured it out. Confidence is what makes a girl s**y. Not the size of her jeans, or what number shows up on the scale. You will always be able to find a store that sales your size. I use to be a size 15 when I was 15. And I hated my body. I remember it being so hard to find clothes to fit me.  And wished I could lose weight so much. I met my boyfriend when I was in a size 15, and he told me I looked beautiful all the time. Well silly me, it had been so long since I had actually ate anything because of me trying to starve myself to look beautiful. So when he told me I was beautiful I ate. And ate, and ate. lol... yeah I thought I was fine, and wouldn’t gain weight because I had somebody to tell me I was beautiful. But I did gain weight and I went up to a size 18. Well I still didn't like my body. So I went on a diet. An extreme diet. My boyfriend couldn’t stand me! I drove him nuts talking about how I hated my body so much. He almost broke up with me. I got back down to a size 15, and realized I STILL wasn’t happy. I got mad and ended my diet, and of course went back up to an 18 in a faster time than I lost it. But during that time I was gaining I started feeling confident about myself. I made myself really look at me, and realize I am beautiful. So I got a new hair style, bought some new clothes, and showed a presence of confidence. Soon as I did that I had people giving me compliments all the time. Guys and girls were stopping me on the street, And in the hallways of my school telling me " Wow! you look really good" even people who I didn’t even know. All because I started showing confidence. People pick up on that. They can since if you love yourself or not. And how can you have somebody else love you if you don’t love yourself. Since I started loving myself me and my boyfriend have been doing great! I don’t think he would be with me right now if I was still complaining about how much I hate my body. But instead I love myself and because of that he loves me even more. By the way we have been together for 3 years now.

Anyways the point is love yourself, don’t feel like you have to lose weight to fit into some fancy over priced clothes, when you can buy just as good of ones on the internet from Paris and cheaper. That was actually what I was looking for when I came across your question lol... And don't let stupid people get to your head saying you need to lose weight. When you are beautiful enough looking just the way you are.
