hi im 14 years old about 5 10. And basketball tryouts are approaching, so im taking this summer to improve my skills. Vertical jump is one thing i would like to improve because I was told if i could do this I would be able to dunk by tryouts. Now im trying to use plyos. Can anyone tell me about how long it will take me to improve my vertical leap by atleast 7inches-1foot. And if you have a plyo routine that can help please share with me. Thanks a bunch

  1. I don't know what plyometrics are, but i do know that jumping rope is a very good way to strengthen your legs and enable you to jump higher.

  2. I'm sorry, I don't have a routine to share with you, but i do know that it takes about a month and a half (6 weeks) to gain anywhere from 4-9 inches. If you train hard, then i am guessing that it will take probably 3 months to GUARANTEE you to get a foot of vertical.

    Hope this helps!
