  1. You absolutely need to stay in school; homeschooling is something that should be used in certain cases and yours doesn't qualify. You miss the classroom activities, your friends, interacting with others, the socialization (boyfriend or not) and you must have some order and discipline to keep your life in order.

We don't always have a choice as to what we want to do and what we have to do; now is the time for you to learn you sometimes have to do things you don't want to do in order to achieve goals you will need for your future.

  2. I agree with the last post.  I even remember my parents saying the dreaded... "one day you'll understand".  Of course back then I hated them for it, but of course now I can say that they were right.  How do they know these thing...?  Oh yes, because they were once young too.  I was truly in love when I was in high school, even dated him for three years.  He broke my heart and I thank God every day!  If I had married him I would have never met my husband in college who is far better looking and a much better catch.  All through our lives there will be "stages".  Party, have fun, be free.  I couldn't wait to be married and start a family (which I have now) but I am so happy I enjoyed my 20's to their full potential, because now I can truly focus on my kids and husband with no regrets.  I think we rush things to much.  We want to have it all.  As I tell my son when he asked why he has to do something? Life can be like a endless video game.  You have to complete this to get to the next level.

  3. Sorry to say, but you're parents are right.  Socializing has nothing to do with your boyfriend.  They're talking about other friends and events.  You can't put all your dreams on your boyfriend b/c even though you say you're very much in love and you're both planning on getting married - you're also very young.  A lot of things could change.  Does your boyfriend go to school?  Use your head, not your heart.  You're trying to rush your life b/c you want to be with this boy - it's the wrong thing to do.  Junior and Senior years at school are a lot of fun, and you will make a lot of memories.  btw...8th grade pre-prom isn't the same thing as Jr/Sr. prom.  Stay in school.  You'll regret it in the long run.
