1.in a skul 5\8 of the students are boys. if there are240 girls find no of boys.

2. rita had 300rs she spent 1\3of her money on nbs and 1\4 on stationary items how much money is left

3.if 3\5 of a no exceeds its 2\7 by 44 find the no.

1. 5/8 of 240 = 150 boys

2. 300/3=100

300/4=75

100+75=175

300-175=125

3.3/5+2/7*44= 39(1 dp)

Question (1): If S is the number of students in the school,

    Boys = (5/8)S

    Girls = S - Boys

           = S - (5/8)S

           = (3/8)S

           = 240 Girls

    (3/8)S = 240

    S = (240)*(8)/(3)

       = 640 Students

   Boys = S - (Girls)

             = 640 - 240

             = 400 boys

Question (3): Lets call the number N

   (3/5)N = (2/7)N + 44

   (3/5)N - (2/7)N = 44

   (7x3)/(7x5)N - (5x2)/(5x7)N = 44

   (21/35)N - (10/35)N = 44

   (11/35)N = 44

   N = (44)*(35)/(11)

      = 140

1) 240 divided by 8 times 5 = answer

2) 300 divided by 3 = a

300 divided by 4 = b

a+b = c

300 - c = answer

3) I have no idea what the question is, you need to write them out in proper English.
