Plz help me with my router?

i bought a netgear router so i can connect xboxlive i cant install my computer to the router it is a wired connection

Reset the router to the default settings - on the back of the router there is usually a reset button, use a pen or pencil to push the button while it is plugged in and hold for about 30 sec. Then go to your computer and configure the network card for DHCP. Also configure Xbox for DHCP.
