what is the difference between mechanical engineering and automobile engineering?

  1. I'm not exactly sure of your question, but here goes:

    Mechanical Engineering is a giant scope of every type of engineering there is as it pertains to everything from manufacturing of ball point pens to automobiles to designing HVAC systems for large industrial companies.

    Automobile Engineering, as the name states pertains to the development of systems and equipment, along with increased production capabilities in the automotive industry.

    Generally, I'd say that Mechanical Engineering is a broad scope of every type of engineering there is, but Automotive Engineering is honed down to simply automobiles and the manufacture and distribution of parts, cars, trucks, etc.
