Plz help with connecting my HDTV LCD to my pc as a monitor?

hey guys i have a 32inch LCD HDTV it's brand is LG it has opens for all kinds of cables like HDMI in , HDMI/DVI in, RGB (PC) in , Component in and AV in and out of course and i realy need to connect it to my pc as a monitor so could u plz tell me what do i need to do and if i need like some sort of converter not those big ones just a converter cable plz i need all kinds of details and i have a nvidia 6600 ge-force i don't know if it matters i wrote just it in case and thanx in advance :D

  1. Actually, your nvidia 6600 does matter because it should provide a DVI port for video output.

    To obtain the best picture quality, you should use the DVI output by using either a standard DVI cable if your TV has a DVI port.  Otherwise, you can get a DVI-to-HDMI cable that will connect the DVI port of your computer to an HDMI port of your TV.

    Using a VGA or s-video cable will degrade the picture quality.

    BUY YOUR CABLE FROM EBAY, AMAZON, etc!  Otherwise, you'll get ripped off buying it at a retail store.


  2. You have two options:

    Use the PC input to connect it with a VGA cable, or use the DVI out on your video card to connect to an HDMI port on the TV (get a DVI to HDMI cable)

  3. You're video card has DVI-out, so just connect a DVI cable from your video card to the DVI-in port on your LCD TV.
